About Nixon
My name is Nixon Stewart, and I am a fully qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist. I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and have worked with clients across a range of mental health difficulties in NHS settings. I divide my time between the NHS and private practice.
How I Work
Starting psychotherapy is a big step. You may have noticed that certain situations keep repeating: conflicts in relationships, feeling burnt out, or persistent self-critical thoughts. Life transitions, whether starting a new job, ending a relationship, becoming a parent, or grieving a loss, can feel overwhelming even when the changes are positive.
I offer a compassionate and supportive space where we can work together to understand your difficulties. The sessions are open and shaped by what you bring. Together, we look at how your relationships and feelings influence your thoughts and experiences.
By building a trusting therapeutic relationship, we can notice patterns and work toward insight and lasting change.
I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I adhere to their codes of practice.
