Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on the HQ Therapy website.

Cookie Policy

This policy explains how HQ Therapy Rooms LTD (Company No. 09915731) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Last updated: September 2026

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things about your visit — such as your preferences, whether you’re signed in, or how you found us — so the next page loads faster and works as you’d expect. Similar technologies like local storage and pixel tags do the same job in slightly different ways; we treat them all the same under this policy.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for three purposes:

  • To make the site work — for example, keeping you signed in, remembering your cookie preferences, and keeping the site secure.
  • To understand how the site is used — so we can see which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and fix things that aren’t working.
  • To improve performance — measuring how quickly pages load so we can make them faster.

We do not currently use cookies for advertising, social media tracking, or retargeting. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any such cookies are set.

3. Cookie Categories

Our cookie banner groups cookies into three categories. You can accept or reject each one (except Necessary) at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the site footer.

Necessary

Always on — required for the site to function. These cookies do not track you across sites and cannot be turned off. They include a cookie that remembers your consent preferences (hqt_cookie_consent, 12 months) and short-lived session cookies set by our hosting provider (Vercel) to keep the site secure.

Analytics

Off until you consent. Helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. All data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

  • Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container> (2 years) to distinguish unique visitors and session state. Tags only load after consent.
  • Microsoft Clarity sets cookies such as _clck (12 months) and _clsk (1 day) to distinguish unique visitors and connect the pages you view into a session. It records anonymised session replays and heatmaps. Tags only load after consent.
  • Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights are privacy-first, first-party measurement tools that do not use cookies or collect personal data. They count page views and measure page speed using anonymised signals.

Marketing

We currently have no marketing cookies in use. This category is reserved — if we add marketing tools in the future (for example a social media pixel), they will only load after you give consent, and this policy will be updated first.

4. Consent Mode

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make a choice, all non-essential tags are blocked — analytics cookies are not set until you click “Accept All” or enable Analytics in Cookie Settings. If you reject analytics, Google Analytics receives only anonymous, cookie-less signals (used to estimate totals, nothing more).

5. Managing Your Preferences

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:

Blocking necessary cookies will break the site. Blocking analytics and marketing cookies will not.

6. Third Parties

The third parties that may set cookies through our site are:

We do not share cookie data with advertisers, social networks, or data brokers.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy when our tooling changes or regulations evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. If we add new categories of cookies, we will ask for fresh consent before they are set.

8. Contact Us

If you have questions about cookies or this policy, contact us at hello@hqtherapy.com or write to HQ Therapy Rooms LTD, 322C Kingsland Rd, London E8 4DE.
