About Lorena
I am a psychotherapist specialising in trauma and complex trauma. My work is about helping people who feel stuck, unsatisfied, or disempowered to regain a sense of hope, meaning, and agency.
Training and Experience
My training includes a Master's in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, Body-Centred Humanistic Counselling, Somatic Experiencing, and Deep Brain Reorienting. I have also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Relational Trauma Therapy, and TIST, and have been trained directly by Janina Fisher, Dick Schwartz (IFS), Deb Dana, Steven Porges, and Daniel Siegel.
Over the past 10 years I have worked in world-renowned residential settings for trauma recovery, in the charity sector, and in NHS services covering acute mental health, early intervention for psychosis, and inpatient care.
How I Work
My clinical experience covers PTSD, complex PTSD, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, dissociation, chronic pain, codependency, addiction, and suicidality, among other areas.
The way I work is collaborative, relational, and educational. What I care about most is empowering my clients with self-awareness, knowledge, and skills so they can take the reins of their life back and lead the satisfying life they deserve.
I am registered with UKCP, HCPC, and NCPS. I offer sessions in English and Italian.
