You have spent a long time coping, perhaps it is time to live differently. I offer a warm, comforting space where you can be completely open, to reflect and reconnect with yourself. A space where you can find a way forward that feels more balanced, aligned with what you need and authentically you.

About Elin

You may understand some of your patterns very well, but still find yourself repeating them. Or perhaps you are questioning who you are, what you want, or where you belong. Therapy can give you the space to pause, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin to find a different way forward.

I’m Elin, a humanistic integrative counsellor. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood, while also having the freedom to be honest about the things you may find difficult to make sense of on your own. I believe that therapy is about finding a balance between understanding where you have come from and creating space for where you want to go.

Our experiences, relationships and ways of coping are shaped by what we have lived through, the people around us and the expectations we have absorbed along the way. Together, we can explore these influences and how they may still be affecting you today. This might mean looking at relationships, emotions, boundaries, self-esteem or recurring patterns, while also considering what you would like to change and what could help you move towards it.

My approach is integrative and relational. I draw on person-centred therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic thinking, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and CBT, bringing different perspectives into our work depending on what feels most useful for you. I don’t believe there is one way of doing therapy, and I will work collaboratively with you to find an approach that fits your needs and circumstances.

As a Swedish therapist who has lived and worked across cultures, I’m interested in the ways culture, family, identity and belonging can influence how we understand ourselves and our relationships. I also have an interest in neurodiversity, including ADHD, and the different ways people experience the world. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns and questions around identity and belonging.

I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on what you need. Therapy can be a place to make sense of the past without becoming stuck there, while keeping sight of the future and the life you want to create. My aim is to help you find greater balance and create a life that feels more sustainable and genuinely your own.

I offer online and in-person counselling in Highbury Fields, N5. I speak English and Swedish, as well as French, and you are welcome to move between languages if that feels more natural to you. If you are considering therapy, I would be happy to have an initial conversation to hear more about what is bringing you here.
