Group Therapy & Counselling
Group therapy offers a unique healing environment where sharing experiences with others becomes part of the therapeutic process. First developed to support people with war-related trauma, group therapy now helps with a wide range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to addiction and eating disorders.
We offer two main types of groups:
Structured Learning Groups (Psychoeducational)
- Led by a therapist in a teaching role
- Focus on specific issues and strategies
- Structured learning and skill development
Open Discussion Groups (Process-Oriented)
- Emphasis on relationship dynamics
- Shared experiences and mutual support
- Therapeutic healing through connection
Groups typically include 6-12 participants and can be either:
- Closed (same members for a set number of sessions)
- Open (new members can join ongoing groups)
Beyond discussion, sessions may include team activities, expressive arts, and movement exercises to build trust and improve communication. Group therapy can be your primary support or complement individual therapy.
