Rohit Gupta:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist (BPC, BACP)
Hello and welcome
I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist offering a confidential space for you to talk with someone trained at listening to what may be happening for you at a deeper level.
Sessions are generally held in a non-directive way and are a space for us to explore together. Over time, we will seek to understand and find the words to articulate the conflicts, fears and anxieties you perhaps feel within, with the aim of bringing about meaningful and lasting change.
A little about me:
I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, which is a specialist NHS trust with a focus on training and mental health services and therapies.
I am a full member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), the leading professional association for the psychoanalytic profession, and adhere to their code of ethics and practice.
I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Prior to being a psychotherapist, I worked for over 20 years in the private, academic and charity sectors. This experience and my interest in culture and society inform my psychotherapeutic understanding of the complex terrain of daily life.
In addition to working in private practice, I am committed to mental health support, being widely accessible to as many people as possible. I also work for a national charity providing support to their front-line workers, and have volunteered for a charity supporting those who feel suicidal.
Starting therapy:
Starting therapy can feel like a big decision. If it’s something you would like to talk through, I offer an initial 15 minute phone call to discuss any immediate questions.
During this call, we can also decide whether to have a first meeting. This would be to understand in more detail what brings you to therapy, what you may hope to gain from it, and any further questions you may have.
There is no fee for the initial phone call and first meeting.
Once we start, my fee is £80 per session. Each session will last 50 minutes and take place at the same time weekly.
