Nishy Khetia:
Trainee Integrative Counsellor (BACP student member)
Hi, my name is Nishy Khetia, and I am a trainee Integrative Counsellor working for the low-cost counselling service at HQ Therapy rooms in Haggerston and Dalston, Hackney, London E8.
I have previously completed a level 4 award course in Counselling Children & Adolescents and also a level 4 in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have also completed a certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling.
I am currently completing my training in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy at CPPD Counselling School.
I am an insured student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to its code of ethics and guidelines to practice.
I am an integrative therapist which means I draw from different therapy modalities to suit the needs of the client.
I like to think of therapy as a blank canvas where the client can freely paint with words. There is no judgement on the art that is created. There is only appreciation for the artist.
My work with clients has been a journey into their lives past and present and I am grateful to be on this journey with you now. You may feel as if you are stuck in the mud, but you are a beautiful lotus flower waiting to re-bloom and rise to the surface again.
My therapeutic relationships are those which are sustained by kindness, sincerity, congruence, and trust. I offer you a confidential, non-judgemental, safe space for us to explore your feelings and thoughts which have been trapped inside.
Our mental health is an extremely important part of our lives and I am here to support you to nurture it by providing it with light, positivity, and love.
Life has a habit of constantly throwing challenges toward us and we can utilise these challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. I believe in treating people with warmth, empathy, and compassion.
I want to understand the world through your lens and what it means to you. I will support you to reach self-actualisation and become your best self.
Working in a humanistic frame allows me to see the client as a whole respecting and valuing diversity, beliefs, and spirituality which can be an integral part of a person’s worldview.
