Natasha Owusu:
Trainee Person-Centred Therapist (UKCP Student Member)
Hello, my name is Natasha Owusu and I am a trainee person-centred therapist at HQ Therapy Rooms’ low-cost therapy and counselling service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston and Dalston, Hackney, London E8.
I am in my second year of an MSC in Person-Centred Therapy at the Metanoia Institute and hold a Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Skills and Studies from the same institution.
As a trainee member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), I adhere to the UKCP Ethical Framework and Professional Practice, which guides my counselling practice.
I understand that seeking therapy can be a difficult and vulnerable step, and my goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space where you can feel comfortable speaking freely and being listened to empathically.
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and active listening. I am dedicated to putting you at the centre of our sessions.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to provide a space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism or shame.
I understand that every client is unique and has their own set of experiences and values. Therefore, I am committed to working with you to understand your perspective and emotions.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that is based on trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
As your therapist, I want to support you in achieving your full potential and living a fulfilling and meaningful life. I believe that everyone has the capacity to thrive, and I am committed to supporting you to unlock your inner resources and overcome the obstacles that are holding you back.
Currently, I am available to work with clients in person on Sunday evenings between 7 pm and 10 pm or online on weekday evenings.
Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey towards healing and growth.
