Lowenna Mariasol:
Trainee Gestalt Psychotherapist (UKCP student member)
My name is Lowenna Mariasol and I am a trainee Gestalt Psychotherapist at HQ Therapy. I am currently seeing clients online, offering both long-term and short-term therapy.
Life can be incredibly challenging and at times feel unmanageable. Support can help to see us through these challenging times and is a fundamental need for every human.
Whether you have had therapy before or are seeking therapy for the first time, I can provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences. You may have a specific issue to work through or simply wish to deepen your self-awareness; Gestalt psychotherapy is flexible and founded in the belief that every person is unique and will therefore require a slightly different kind of support.
We will work collaboratively at a pace that feels right for you to discover what it is that you need, taking it session by session.
My approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity and at times challenge. We will pay attention to your physical process as well as your cognitive and emotional process, as our bodies provide clues to emotions and beliefs that lie out of our awareness.
We will talk, but we may also experiment with drawing, writing, music, objects or movement. Whatever you feel might support your journey of self-discovery.
The ultimate goal is to process unresolved feelings, situations and experiences and to increase your self-awareness, as with greater self-awareness comes greater opportunity for choice, growth and change.
Together we can discover how your past could be impacting your present; how some old coping strategies may be serving you and some may be hindering you.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients from different backgrounds, genders, religions and sexual orientations, with a range of challenges including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, eating disorders, BPD, relationship issues, trauma, complex PTSD and neurodiversity.
Regardless of your challenges, therapy requires a willingness to be honest, open and vulnerable with another human. If you are reading this, you have already taken the first step.
I invite you to bring your full self to our work and I will meet you there, without judgment, but with compassion.
