Liam Hart:
Trainee Humanistic Therapist (BACP student member)
Hello, my name is Liam Hart and I am a trainee humanistic counsellor working in the low-cost therapy and counselling service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney, London E8.
I am in my third year of a Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling at Homa in London.
As a humanistic psychotherapist, I aim to hold a space for you, listening without prejudice or judgement. I feel strongly about long-term, supportive relationships where you can explore any aspect of your past or present experiences and emotions at a pace that works for you.
I have learned that listening is often far more important than questioning. I trust that each individual holds the answers within themselves, and firmly believe that you have the ability to become an expert in your own life.
My role is to help raise awareness of familiar patterns and behaviours, giving you the opportunity to make changes and evolve.
My own anxiety and depression led me to numerous therapies, and over a decade later, inspired me to train as a therapist.
My personal experience of humanistic therapy is where I began to learn how to accept my emotions. I started discovering how the body, as well as the mind, can really help us understand the way we are feeling at any given moment.
My experiential training at Homa has shown me repeatedly that we all have the capacity for change. I will invite you to be curious and connect on a deeper level with yourself and others around you.
My working life began in the live music industry in my very early twenties. I loved the pace, excitement, and energy. I have always been interested in people and relationships and developed strong communication skills whilst managing numerous teams in extremely challenging environments.
Although my focus has now shifted to therapy, I am still a working musician and particularly welcome anyone working in creative arts to the therapy room.
I am available for in-person sessions between 13:00 and 16:00 on Sundays at HQ Therapy Rooms’ Haggerston location.
I am a member of the BACP and fully insured with Towergate Professional Liability Insurance.
