Katrina Wrzesien:
Trainee Humanistic Counsellor (BACP Student Member)
Hello. My name is Katrina Wrzesien. I am a trainee in Humanistic Counselling, which involves using Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis approaches.
I am available in person for low-cost therapy sessions at HQ Therapy Rooms in Dalston and Haggerston. My hours are 7pm-10pm on Saturdays. I currently work with adults, offering 1:1 support.
I am working towards a BSc in Humanistic Counselling at the Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University. I completed a Level 3 Certificate in Humanistic Counselling at the Gestalt Institute in 2023.
I have been volunteering at the Samaritans Email Hub since August 2023, which has been an extremely meaningful experience.
I am a student member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.
My main focus is to provide support through difficult times such as bereavement, divorce, depression and anxiety, chronic illness, low self-esteem, suicide ideation and self-harm, abuse and bullying and many others. I can help you discover and explore any difficulties or patterns of behaviour that you would like to work on.
I will also be there to listen if you would like to share and embrace any joyful and beautiful moments of your life.
In my work, I use empathy and unconditional positive regard, providing you with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your life, whether it’s something from your past, the present, or the future.
We will work together to overcome any blocks in your life and increase your strengths that you might not yet be fully aware of having.
You will be able to express and discuss any topics, emotions or feelings freely. There are no taboos or words you cannot use, and my space is “should”-free. This is your space and your time.
I was born and raised in Poland, used to live in Norway, and have lived in the UK for over seven years. I have been privileged to have worked with people from various cultural backgrounds.
I welcome anyone in my practice and am always grateful to witness people’s unique experiences and significant life transitions. I hope that you will be one of those people.
