Fiona Davies:
Psychodynamic Counsellor (BPC)
Hello and welcome. My name is Fiona Davies and I am a BPC-accredited psychodynamic counsellor available for in-person and online sessions.
If you have come to this page it is probably because you are looking to make sense of things that are troubling you and which might be preventing you from living the life you deserve.
Why Now?
There are many reasons why someone seeks therapy; perhaps you have experienced trauma and need help to process things, or maybe you just have a feeling that ‘something’s not quite right’, but you don’t really know what that might be.
Whatever the reason, you have made the brave decision to reach out for the support and help you deserve. The decision to seek help is sometimes daunting, but don’t worry, this is completely normal.
Regular counselling can help you to move on with your life.
How It works
By contacting me you are already taking the first, important step to recovery and moving on with your life. I am a fully qualified psychodynamic counsellor, accredited by the BPC. In our sessions, I will listen to whatever you choose to bring and talk about; this could be past experiences that impact your present, how you live your life now or how you experience relationships in the present.
Gradually, you will develop a deeper understanding of yourself, enabling you to move forward with your life. We can work on something specific you wish to understand about yourself or explore more general experiences and feelings.
Qualifications and experience
I am fully accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council and have also undertaken courses on Solution-Focused Therapy with leading charity Chance UK. I undertook my counselling training at the Enfield Counselling and Psychotherapy Service, which means I have a rigorous knowledge of psychodynamic ways of thinking and working, as well as weekly clinical supervision.
Over the years I have developed a keen interest in clients presenting with issues surrounding body dysmorphia, OCD, depression and anxiety. I work therapeutically with adult clients across the North London region and also work part-time as a school counsellor in a large secondary school in Hackney.
What Happens Now?
Please get in touch with me using my contact details below. We will arrange with you a convenient time for an initial conversation where we will discuss whether counselling is something that will benefit you and is suitable for your needs. If you decide to progress with the sessions, we will arrange a day and time when we can regularly meet.
Each session will last for 50 minutes and ideally will take place weekly. If you would like to book an appointment or ask me any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch with me below..
