Elia Ciucurita:
Integrative Arts Psychotherapist (HCPC, BACP)
Hi, I’m Elia Ciucurita, an art psychotherapist offering sessions as part of the reduced-rate service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney, London E8.
I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted.
My approach is gentle, supportive, and adaptable—meeting you where you are and working at a pace that feels right for you. I hold a Master’s Degree in Integrative Art Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Art therapy is a powerful way to explore thoughts and feelings that might be difficult to express with words alone. You don’t need to be an artist—just open to the process. Through creativity, we can reconnect with lost or neglected parts of ourselves, uncover inner strengths, and make sense of life’s challenges.
At the heart of my work is a relational approach to therapy, which means I believe healing happens through relationships—both with ourselves and with others. Many of our struggles stem from early relational patterns, and therapy offers a chance to explore these dynamics in a safe, supportive space.
By building a trusting therapeutic relationship, we can work through past wounds, develop healthier ways of relating, and create meaningful change in how you connect with yourself and those around you.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in hospitality and childcare, and I’ve also supported young people with autism and learning difficulties in school settings. These experiences taught me the importance of warmth, patience, and flexibility—qualities I bring into my therapy practice.
I have a deep interest in working with people facing family conflicts, relationship breakdowns, cultural transitions, and struggles with addiction. If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or stuck, I’m here to help you navigate those feelings in a way that feels safe and empowering.
I offer therapy in English and Romanian and primarily work face-to-face, though online sessions are available when needed.
If you’re looking for a space to reflect, heal, and reconnect with yourself, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out—let’s explore together.
