Dija Nepoleon:
Trainee Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (NCPS student member)
Hi, my name is Dija Nepoleon and I am a trainee counsellor registered with the NCPS. I am currently in my final year completing my Diploma at Chrysalis on Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
I also have a Level 3 in Hypnotherapy and a degree in Business Management. While studying to complete my final year in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, I am also on a low-cost therapy programme with HQ Therapy.
I currently offer face-to-face counselling every Saturday and online therapy on Monday evenings. I have previously worked as a Trainee Counsellor for Cruse Bereavement, I thoroughly enjoyed supporting my clients by providing support and guidance to help them overcome personal challenges, improve relationships, and achieve goals.
I decided to become a counsellor after my own positive experience with therapy.
I work with adults helping them with issues of Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), depression, behavioural disorders, loneliness, acts of self-harming often triggered by social discrimination, exclusion, stigma, and the influential pressures from social media, bereavement, troubled relationships, childhood abuse, trauma, eating disorders and suicidal thoughts.
My approach encompasses three well-established forms of therapy – Person-centred, Psychodynamic & CBT – which I adopt as necessary to meet my client’s individual needs.
As a counsellor, I believe in giving my clients a safe space free from judgement, advice, or opinions. I do not exert what ‘I think’ is best, preferring instead to work alongside them, valuing their autonomy, & preferences, & tailoring their therapy to achieve the best outcomes.
I hope to offer you a safe & comfortable environment to reflect & speak freely. A space to examine how you are feeling free from the expectations & pressures of others.
A place to feel heard, supported & acknowledged, free to realise your own strengths & values, heal emotionally painful wounds & regain the self-belief to overcome personal challenges.
