Daniel Blythin-Hammond:
Trainee Humanistic Psychotherapist (UKCP student member)
Hi, I’m Daniel Blythin-Hammond.
I understand that opening up can be hard, I feel it is better to share a problem than to deal with it alone.
I offer a non-judgmental, safe, and confidential therapeutic space for you to explore feelings and issues as you work out what, if any, changes you would like to make in your life or your behaviour, helping you to find inner calm, clarity, and understanding.
In addition to providing emotional support, therapy can also be used to help you explore different perspectives and gain new insights into your experiences, providing an opportunity to reflect on your thoughts and feelings.
I can help you identify patterns and behaviours that may be contributing to difficulties you might have and we would work collaboratively to develop strategies for moving forward and making positive changes in your life.
You may have a specific problem you want to address in therapy or you may be less sure of what you need but just know you need to talk.
I will be supportive when needed and challenging where appropriate; I’m here and available for a professional and down-to-earth conversation about whatever it is that you need to explore.
I work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, sexuality, self-esteem, confidence, loneliness, relationship problems and the search for meaning in life.
I believe effective therapy is grounded in good humanistic techniques; creativity, warmth, compassion, honesty and understanding. I bring compassionate understanding and mindful attention to all my work.
I am a trainee Humanistic psychotherapist studying for a Master’s degree in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute. I am a fully insured and registered trainee member of UKCP.
I decided to train as a therapist after working many years in the helping professions supporting others; I currently work in social care and have experience in mental health care, education, and migrant rights.
I have a deeply felt desire to help people make meaningful change in their lives and I believe in the power of therapy in facilitating this change.
I am available for in-person sessions on Sundays between 7-10 pm at the low-cost therapy and counselling service, HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney, London E8.
I look forward to meeting you.
