Who Can Have Therapy And Counselling?: At HQ Therapy we believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone, of all ages, of any ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity that requires therapeutic help. Our therapists and counsellors work with all types of clients, individually, in couples, families and groups.
Our types of clientele fall into the following categories in terms of age range:
Children: A therapist or counsellor who works with children can help them to use techniques to work through difficult situations they are facing, teach them to learn coping skills to manage any strong feelings they might be experiencing, like anxiety and depression, and help their families to communicate with them and get along better.
Teenagers & Adolescents: While most teenagers will probably struggle with a range of issues related to adolescence at one time or another while they mature into adulthood, some teens can experience a whole range of other problems and symptoms, that, left unaddressed, can manifest into very serious issues. Early therapeutic intervention can be an important step in helping them help to cope, manage and deal with their ongoing problems.
Adults: The types of therapy and counselling we use for adults can help them address and improve any physical and emotional issues, behavioural disorders and human sexuality issues they may be experiencing. The goal of a therapist, working with these types of clients, is to steer them into becoming a whole person, by helping them process their emotional issues in order to become healthy again, both physically and mentally.
Finances: All therapists working at HQ Therapy will show how much they charge their clients per hour. If money is tight, some therapists charge a reduced rate therapy service on a sliding scale for these types of clients, and there is even a low-cost therapy service available too for people for those who are struggling financially.
Starting Therapy: Many therapists offer client consultation over the phone or the internet as well as working in person, so your location needn’t be a barrier to finding the right therapist for you. Any and all types of clients we deal with require a safe and supportive environment to explore life’s challenges and change their thinking patterns.
