Cassandra Wong:
Trainee Psychotherapist (BACP & UKCP student member)
Hi, I’m Cassandra Wong, a Trainee psychotherapist based in London E8 working in the low-cost therapy and counselling service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston.
As human beings, we all have the capacity to suffer against the challenges of daily life. Often needing someone to talk to. To be heard, and to be understood. Which sometimes just can’t be remedied by our friends or our families.
That’s why therapy is so important to me, and why I’m passionate about creating a warm, and comfortable space for humans looking to unload.
What you can expect from our sessions:
Here you will have the opportunity to be heard in a safe and caring environment. I aim to be present and curious about where you come from and your situation. As my aim is to go on the journey of discovery with you, side by side, in your time, and at your pace.
Together we have an opportunity to uncover what is no longer working and what we want to take with us into the development of a stronger, resilient you.
I hope to facilitate your therapeutic journey to discover new perspectives to regain a renewed sense of self.
Initial contact:
I will always remember my first time seeking a therapist. Where do I look? What questions do I ask? How do I begin?
We will start with an initial assessment. This way you can gauge whether we’ll be the right fit for each other. During this session, we will discuss what brought you here, whether therapy with me could be helpful for you, and any questions you may have.
Thereafter, we will decide on whether to continue and if so, how we will work together moving forward.
How I see life:
From an integrative way of seeing life, I tend to reflect on the Transpersonal, Existential, and Embodied philosophies. I see us as souls having a human experience. I see pain, meaninglessness, numbness, loss, grief, frustration, and dilemma as a stepping stone, a mirror, a magnifying glass. Fuel for change, personal growth, and healing of the mind, body, and soul.
Training & Experience:
I am currently undergoing my training at Regent’s University, London for my Masters in Psychotherapy and Counseling. I have a background in the Arts, namely in writing, acting, and dance. I have also had the privilege of having work experience in a wide range of industries, such as Entertainment, Tourism, IT, Property, and even Food & Beverage.
I’m a United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) student member.
