Amelia Boyce:
Trainee Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (BACP & NCPS student member)
I am a trainee psychotherapeutic counsellor in the final year of my Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I also hold a diploma in Hypnotherapy, which can aid my holistic approach to well-being.
My practice is rooted in a person-centred and integrative approach, drawing on elements of psychodynamic therapy and humanistic principles. I have experience supporting individuals with a range of challenges, including anxiety, confidence issues, and relationship difficulties.
My goal is to create a compassionate and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, tailored to your unique experiences and needs. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or looking for a space to deepen your self-understanding, I adapt my approach to ensure you feel comfortable and empowered. I take the time to truly listen, offering a non-judgmental environment where you can express yourself openly.
Having previously worked in a high-pressure corporate environment, I understand the complexities of stress, burnout, and self-expectation. I also have a personal connection to neurodiversity and an appreciation for the different ways people experience the world. These perspectives help me connect with a diverse range of clients and offer insights that feel relevant to their lives.
At the heart of my work is the belief that everyone deserves to be heard and valued. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and my priority is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel at ease. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I work collaboratively with you, adapting sessions to meet your needs as they evolve.
My aim is to help you feel seen, heard and understood. Together, we can work towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being. Therapy is a journey, and I am here to support you at your own pace, in a way that feels right for you.
