Rhys Vine:
Trainee Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (BACP student member)
My name is Rhys Vine. I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist trainee. I currently see clients at the low-cost counselling and psychotherapy service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston and Dalston, London.
I work with adult clients on an individual basis. I have face-to-face sessions available, as well as online.
I have completed my Foundation degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and now have moved on to the second year of my Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regents University London. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Although my training has been across many modalities of therapy, I tend to lean towards a more person-centred and humanistic approach to therapy and believe that a strong bond between client and therapist is essential for great therapeutic work to be done.
Establishing a relationship is based on trust, honesty and connectivity with one another and helping to create an environment where the client feels seen, heard and understood giving them the confidence to open up within the therapy room.
I feel like I bring a unique skill set that lends itself well to psychotherapy and counselling from my experience as a Company Director and creative mentor to my studies at Regents, both on my foundation course and current master’s degree.
I am an attentive, empathic listener with a naturally inquisitive and nurturing personality who can confidently apply psychological theory to practice with a wide range of clients. My aim as a therapist is to help facilitate an environment by which emotional growth can take place as well as potential healing and the meeting of goals set between the client and myself.
I am able to apply active listening techniques to understand my client’s emotions and concerns and establish a real and human connection as well as communicate ideas in an easy and digestible way to get through to clients on a relatable level.
I can think outside the box to analyse complex psychological issues and encourage clients to open up to new ways of thinking to help overcome their issues.
