Kathryn Enright
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (CNHC and ICrA)
My name is Kathryn Enright. I am a qualified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. I am based at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney E8, and also at Trinity Laban, SE8. I am registered with CNHC and ICrA.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle yet powerful hands-on treatment that interacts with the deepest inherent healing forces in the body, both emotionally and physiologically.
When the body has had to cope with shock, pain, exhaustion, long-term stress, or illness, it can compromise the natural state that promotes healing. Patterns of disturbance can manifest. BCST offers a safe space where these kinds of challenges can be processed, allowing for the body’s natural balance and overall health to be restored.
What to expect:
Craniosacral therapists are trained to listen deeply to the health of the body through a light, non-invasive touch. They listen to the body with their hands in a similar way that a talking therapist would listen to a client’s words.
During the treatment the client will remain clothed and will usually lie face up or on your side on a treatment table. Verbal dialogue may also accompany the treatment in order to track the client’s emerging patterns and sensations together.
During sessions, clients often feel a sense of ease and relaxation, increased energy, more balance and a felt sense of being heard. Sessions can also be a place for more challenging experiences to surface and pass through.
Each session caters to individual needs and carefully responds to the body’s innate intelligence.
Treatments can be used for a wide range of ailments including:
- Anxiety and stress
- Nervous system issues
- Aches and pains
- Acute and chronic illness
- Digestive issues, IBS
- Migraines, headaches and tinnitus
- Emotional and psychological disturbances
- Autism, ADHD and Dyspraxia
- Pre and post-surgery support (hip and knee replacements)
- Auto-immune disorders
- Birth trauma, c-section recovery
- Developing well-being and vitality
My background:
After spending years as a professional contemporary dancer and teacher, as well as a rehabilitative pilates and yoga instructor, my work is deeply informed by my extensive study of somatic practices, anatomy, in-depth personal movement inquiry, and a deep curiosity about the vast intelligence and possibility of the human form.
While I have a background in the performing arts, I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life and have also been trained as an Equine Craniosacral Therapist.
