Jude Pow:
Psychosynthesis Counsellor (BACP)
My name is Jude Pow and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor working at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney, London E8. I am currently seeing clients face-to-face and online.
I apply an integrative approach, adapted to the individual needs of each client, and I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in psychosynthesis counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.
I provide a safe and confidential space for clients to bring distress, crises or ‘breakdowns’, to explore life issues, to deepen their relationships, and to express worries about the past and hopes for the future.
During weekly one-to-one sessions, I can support you to find out more about who you are and what you want. I provide a safe, respectful and empathic space where we can work together creatively to understand what you’re going through.
We will explore your thoughts, feelings, attitudes, behaviours and imagination to understand the issues that are making life difficult right now, and to discover your hopes for the future and how to get there.
Psychosynthesis counselling is an integrative, humanistic and holistic approach to counselling, seeing people as more than their symptoms or problems. Psychosynthesis values times of crisis, conflict and loss as opportunities to learn more about ourselves and what is meaningful to us.
I believe our pain and suffering can pave the way for personal growth and transformation. They can help us to recognise our qualities, behaviours, beliefs and dreams, and to realise our full potential.
I use a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to suit the needs of each individual client and may draw on techniques including guided imagery, meditation, gestalt therapy, breath work, and journalling. I also pay attention to physical sensations and may use body awareness techniques and movement in our work together.
Some of the outcomes that my clients have achieved include:
- Boundaried, authentic relationships.
- The ability to navigate stress, anxiety and loneliness.
- Overcoming fears or bereavement.
- Making sense of loss or phobias.
- Reducing feelings of pressure at work.
- Freedom around sexuality and sexual orientation.
- Developing a healthy relationship with anger.
- Improving self-esteem and achieving goals.
Rates:
My standard fee is £65 per 50-minute session.
